Happy Thanksgiving Week!⠀⠀⠀⠀
Our crafts and activities this week will focus on the importance if gratitude. We sincerely believe people that are grateful are less likely to be self-loathing and therefore, kinder people in general. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
We'll also share resources on the real story behind Thanksgiving. Can we please stop with the whole Pilgrims and generic "Indians" narrative!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Hope you guys enjoy this week and enjoy the time with family, whether in person or virtually!
Who doesn't love a gratitude necklace! Decorate strips and a reason you're thankful to each link ❤❤❤! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Two versions of the Thankful Turkey! 2019 was the handprints and 2020 was the paper one. Not much has changed though I was surprised that Bubba chose bathtime and God (while we thank God for stuff all the time, it was cute to hear him say he was thankful for God too). This is a fun activity to do with sidewalk chalk as well!
What's on your kiddos Thankful Turkey?
I'm sure we've all been asking what the kiddos are grateful for - here are some categories to help them out!
Or for older kids, a fun Scattegories type activity (pick a letter and every answer has to start with that letter).
What were was the cutest answer you heard from your littles?
As we celebrate Thanksgiving this week, we'd like to provide some resources on teaching kids the true story of Thanksgiving.
Also a good YouTube video to watch for later elementary kids:
