Special tips and notes: Respectful celebration - Dia de los Muertos is NOT Mexican Halloween! Though many Latinx will paint their faces as sugar skulls or dress up as colorful skeletons, it's part of a significant cultural ritual and not recommended as a Halloween costume if you are not partaking in the ritual.
